ABOUT TCB
The Tennessee Certification Board is the Tennessee Member Board of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) offering reciprocal level credentials for Certified Prevention Specialists, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
As a non-profit organization established in 2011 to ensure quality substance use prevention across the state and adding treatment credentials in 2020, TCB supports the workforce to provide quality substance use prevention and treatment services.
Mission
The mission of the Tennessee Certification Board is to establish, certify, and maintain professional credentials that verify standards of excellence.
Vision
We envision a competent workforce of certified professionals throughout Tennessee who recognize and meet the needs of the people they serve.
